The African Development Imperative (TADI) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization which is registered in the United States and Ghana. We interrogate and tackle the economic, political and social effects of inequality to which young people of African descent are exposed in a thoroughgoing and an intentional manner. In so doing, TADI dissects the issues, policies and systems which affect young people either positively or deleteriously, and proposes nuanced, discrete and mutually-reinforcing solutions.
Identified challenges and opportunities, and attendant interventions in the foregoing vein, are grouped into three clusters, namely activism and governance, entrepreneurship and innovation, and violent radicalization and extremism mitigation.
TADI's Founder is a member of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action and the Association for Research on Civil Society in Africa, an initiative of the Ford Foundation.
